Cunard offers a children's program onboard the Queen Elizabeth 2, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.
Queen Elizabeth 2
Queen Elizabeth 2 welcomes families with a beautiful nursery and children's center full of toys, games and activities. Located on Sun Deck between the E and D stairways, this center is supervised daily by fully trained nannies and youth staff. Older children and teens will enjoy many activities and events offered by the Youth Staff, as well as a selection of arcade games available in the Club 2000 on the Quarter Deck. Please note that children must be a minimum of one year old to participate in the nursery without parental supervision. Children under one year old are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Private babysitting is not available. However, complimentary group child-sitting in the children's center is available in the evenings. An adult must accompany children under 18 years of age traveling on Cunard family cruises. If that adult is not the legal parent or guardian, written permission from the parent is required.
Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria
Facilities on board Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria are among the finest afloat. The Play Zone and The Zone feature the very latest equipment for children of all ages, a permanent staff and nurses.
Young guests ages 1-6 years old will find The Play Zone a dedicated, fun area all their own. The Play Zone features a nursery for infants and toddlers, video games and movies, a secure outdoor area with climbing, and a multi-purpose activity area.
Children ages 7-12 years old will enjoy The Zone, where they will find video game stations, air hockey, table football, discos, karaoke, arts and crafts and a lounge area with two 42" plasma screens for videos and movies.
Teens ages 13-17 will also use The Zone during certain hours as designated on board.
Both youth and teen venues will be available free of charge until midnight each evening and will be overseen by qualified British nannies as well as youth and teen coordinators.
Signing In/Out
Safety is a top priority at The Zone. Cunard wants you to feel assured that
your children are in good hands and completely safe. For this reason, Cunard
family cruises operate a registration process by which you sign in your children to the
care of the Zone staff at the beginning of the session, and sign them
back out at the end. Children ages 10 and over can sign themselves in
and out of the Zone. Please note that children must be a minimum of
one year old to attend the nursery without parental supervision.
Children under one year old are welcome, provided they are accompanied
by a parent or guardian at all times. Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria also
offer a family pool area so families can enjoy the outdoors together.
Private babysitting is not available. However, complimentary group
child-sitting in the children's center is available in the evenings. An
adult must accompany children under 18 years of age traveling with
Cunard. If that adult is not the legal parent or guardian, written
permission from the parent is required
Registration
Before your children join The Zone, they will need to fill out a
registration form, which will be available after the boat
drill on the first day of the voyage.
